An intelligence driven operation was held over two days in oSizweni, with the SAPS pursuing the ends of justice.
On March 19, oSizweni Policing Area with the assistance of oSizweni Crime Prevention descended on a house in Section F, following-up on information on drugs. At the house, the police confiscated 10 full mandrax tablets, three quarter mandrax tablets and R50 in cash.
Following up on further information regarding drugs, the police officials went to a house in the Manzana area. At the home, the police recovered 10 parcels of dagga, as well as 50 small packets of dagga and a total of R600 in cash.
Captain Jabulani Ncube, Newcastle SAPS spokesperson, claims the intelligence-driven operation was successful, with the arrest of five suspects dealing in mandrax and dagga.
The men will appear at Madadeni Magistrate Court for their crimes.
Well done to the police officials for combating drug dealers, thereby ensuring the youth of the area remain free of drug usage.
