Klein Spoortjies, developing children whilst moving with the times

Kleinspoortjies Pre-Primary School learners are excited about the dawn of spring, welcoming it with a flourish of colour and fun.

On Friday, August 31, the school held a fun hat day. Embracing the opportunity to break away from the norm, the children donned their favourite hats to welcome the seasonal change.

With spring cheer surging through the school, the children also participated in a coin collection to raise funds for the school. Laying their coins out in the playground, the children took an active stance in supporting their beloved school.

The school will be holding another fundraiser in the form of a cake sale on September 7, from 7am until 8am. The community is welcome to support the initiative and purchase a cake, which is sure to tantalise their taste buds.

While taking an active stance in ensuring learners have fun at school, while supporting its projects, Klein Spoortjies is also dedicated to its educational lessons. Children at Klein Spoortjies are now taking computer lessons on a regular basis.

“Each class gets a chance during the week to use the computers. All the activities are educational. The children also get to learn basic computer skills,” explains Ansie Hendriks.
