The dawn of a new era for motorcycling enthusiasts has dawned. Whether you are an adrenaline junkie or simply yearn for the wind in your hair, there is only one place to go.
After operating in Paterson Street for seven years, Ithemba Racing has changed gears to meet the community’s biking needs. Now operating in Alyiff Street, the store now has more space to play with. This in turn, means Newcastle and neighbouring towns will now be able to reap the rewards.
“Ithemba Racing is family orientated and divided into three departments,” explains Dawood Beyers.
The three departments are direct imports, retail and workshop. Each department is run independently by a family member, ensuring Ithemba Racing runs like a machine. Direct import is run by Dawood and Amanda Beyers, while retail is run by Darren Botha, Alicia Beyers and her children Amy-Lee, Kay-Lee and Donna-Lee. The workshop is run by Adam, Petro and Dawood Junior.
With the new and larger premises, Ithemba Racing will still be offering the best quality pricing and services which people know it for while enhancing itself at the same time.
“The aim is to become a one stop motorcycle shop. Because for us, customer service is of the utmost importance. We don’t negotiate, the customer is king.”
This can be seen in the layout of the store and the lengths the Ithemba Racing team goes to for their customers.
“If we don’t have something in the retail department, we will source the part for the customer. In the workshop, we don’t only repair engines. We do additional repairs such as cable repairs, fibre glass and respray farings,” Dawood said.
Rusted tanks, as well as lacing, aligning and respoking rims can be done. The workmanship is guaranteed. Ithemba Racing prides itself on ensuring each bike receives individual care and thorough attention.
As Ithemba Racing expands, be sure to visit them in Ayliff Street. A business which services branded motorcycles and sells interchangeable European standard parts.
