Ferrum High School is dominating the sports scene, after participating in the 2019 Durban North College Rugby Week.

The Ferrum High School rugby boys recently participated in the rugby week alongside several other schools such as Birchleigh, Greytown, Port Shepstone, Vryheid, Empangeni and Linpark.

This popular school-sporting event is something young rugby players look forward to each year, as they gear themselves up to represent their school and their town.

During the rugby week the boys played numerous matches, sporting impressive results:

Ferrum High School’s 1st rugby team won all three of their matches against Greytown, Durban Academy and Ladysmith.

The team was placed second overall, as the team which placed in first position scored an additional try during the tournament.

The under-16 Ferrum rugby boys were the overall winners of the rugby week, winning all three of their matches against New Forest, Birchleigh and Empangeni.

Well done to the Ferrum High School rugby boys for putting on a stellar performance on the rugby field. Doing both Ferrum High and Newcastle proud.
