Thanks to you, our terrific Newcastillian community, we are proud to announce the launch of our upgraded, more extensive and powerful site www.newcastillian.com

Over the past three years, the Newcastillian – Online News has successfully transformed and advanced media throughout the Northern KwaZulu-Natal region, setting a new standard for news by instantly providing relevant, researched, and informative content. Through this, growth ensued, seeing the Newcastillian community rapidly expanding into KwaZulu-Natal and beyond, with thousands of people just like yourself, making the Newcastillian – Online News a part of their day.

Created by the “hardest working team in media”, the Newcastle-based news agency now moves into the next stage of its story. According to Managing Director of the Newcastillian – Online News Rochelle Els, the site has been highly upgraded in terms of functionality, appearance, advertising opportunities, and not forgetting its new hosting platform, seeing the site migrating from a .co.za to a .com platform. “Once you land on the site, you will be asked if you would like to be notified. Be sure to click “Allow” to ensure you receive your free news throughout the day,” states Rochelle.

Being highly versed in the digital and online worlds, she affirms that the new site, apart from its massive appearance upgrade, “now boasts a bouquet of reader, search engine and advertiser conscious technologies all aimed at increasing our Newcastillian community’s expereince.”

As the Editor, being intimately involved with the content and community, Quinton Boucher states, “The upgrade highlights the level of professionalism that we hold ourselves to, ensuring that our readers are able to receive the news, information and service that they so rightly deserve.”

Discussing the progression of the site, Sales and Media Director for the Newcastillian – Online News Calvin Swemmer states, “We became more than just another news source a long time ago. There is just something unique about us; our commitment and characters come through in the content and site.” Further stating, “Through this powerful product, our ever-growing tens of thousands of readers have been able to generate and be a part of actual change and tangible results. The Newcastillian – Online News has continually proven to be more than just an online news agency but rather a reputable media platform demanding accountability, progression and upliftment, and now it’s bigger than ever.”

With the launch of the .com news site, Newcastillians are reminded that all news will no longer be published on .co.za, and therefore signing up to the .com is a must to ensure you remain current and up-to-date.

Speaking about the upgraded advertising opportunities, Calvin states, “We first created years of content, prooving ourselves to our readers, creating a trusted news brand. This ensured that when advertising options were added, we could with great confidence offer them to clients, knowing they would serve them brilliantly.”

With local and provincial news entering a new chapter as of today, 1 June 2001, Rochelle, Quinton and Calvin conclude by saying, “Thank you to our awesome Newcastillians; you are treasured and loved! And to the, business owners, staff and companies who have been with us throughout this journey, we cannot thank you enough!”
