The gruesome murder of a little girl has left the Madadeni community in a state of shock. 

This follows police responding to a murder scene in Section 5— on Thursday, 1 October 2020. In the bedroom of a house, the police found the lifeless body of Owethu Mdlalose. At the tender age of 11, her life had been tragically cut short.

The innocent child had been stabbed multiple times. Her body left behind, with the suspect allegedly fleeing the scene after the horrific incident.

With Madadeni Police now investigating the murder, the community is now being called on to assist in finding her killer. This follows the Madadeni police requesting the community to help them locate Thamsanqa Surprize Cele.

The police believe the 22-year-old man can assist in the murder investigations of Owethu’s death.

 If anyone has information on Cele’s whereabouts, please contact Warrant Officer Skhumbuzo Mntambo, the investigating officer, on 063 187 2666.
