A stalwart and a pillar of strength within the Newcastle and Madadeni community has been lost. This follows the tragic passing of Councillor Albert Mfana Mbuli.
Cllr Mbuli sadly passed away on Tuesday morning, August 5, after a long illness.
The DA KZN leader, Zwakele Mncwango MPL, describes Cllr Mbuli as a humble servant, who dedicated all his time in serving the people.
“The DA is distressed by this loss. We wish his family, his friends and his DA family strength during this time of mourning.”
As the DA mourns the loss of a dedicated Cllr, Bebsie Cronje of the DA emphasises that Cllr Mbuli was more than a colleague for those within the DA.
Joining the DA in 2012, before becoming a councillor in 2016, Cronje describes Cllr Mbuli as a great activist. A man who always put the needs of his community at the forefront.
“For those where he stayed, Ward 31, he was a pillar of strength. He was a pastor and our local Chief Whip. For me, I have lost more than a colleague. I have lost a friend. Cllr Mbuli was a kind and gentle man. He was supportive and caring towards everyone, and a true democratic.”
Pixelfish Marketing and the Newcastillian extends its heartfelt condolences to Cllr Mbuli’s family, friends and his colleagues during this difficult time.
