As couples enjoy the day of romance today, St Dominics Newcastle and Leave No Girl Behind International (LNGBI) have truly brought the Valentine’s Day spirit to life.

On Thursday, February 13, the LNGBI Power Circles from St Dominics Newcastle spread love and joy at Newcastle Provincial Hospital for Valentine’s Day.

Giving the mothers flowers and toys for their children, Haseena Patel of LNGBI explains the purpose of the campaign was to bring them some joy during their time of pain and illness, thereby making their time in hospital more bearable.

Sabelo Buthelezi, the PRO of the hospital, says the efforts of both LNGBI and St Dominics Newcastle is truly appreciated.

“We really want to thank them, as this truly uplifts the spirits of both the mothers and children. What makes this initiative even more special, is not only are the St Dominics Newcastle and LNGBI bringing joy during the patients’ time of illness, some of these mothers cannot afford toys for their children. We hope to see LNGBI and St Dominics again soon.”

The LNGBI initiative is one which fills the hospital with smiles.

Following the initiative at the hospital, St Dominics Newcastle got into the spirit for Valentine’s Day today, February 14. Dressing up for the day, the learners truly got into the swing of things for Valentine’s Day.
