The South African Police Service stands in the front lines in the fight against crime, doing their utmost best to protect law-abiding citizens from the criminal element.
While the SAPS focus on pursuing the ends of justice, there are times when police officers reach out to the less fortunate.
Recently, Newcastle SAPS Acting Station Commander Colonel Nkosi and senior officers from the station participated in a community outreach project in Fairleigh. Joined by Cabangela Phambili Funerals, the officers interacted with members of the community.
During the outreach project, a family in need was identified. Through the outreach project, food and clothing were donated to the family.
The Newcastle SAPS looks forward to similar projects in the future, extending a helping hand to those in need.
Well done to Newcastle SAPS, as they strive to care for the community.
