Newcastle Model Aircraft Club Hosts Fly-in of the Rand Model Aircraft Club
October 17 to October 19 – Calling all aviation fans, be sure to make your way to the Newcastle Airport.
Newcastle Model Aircraft Club is hosting the fly-in of the Rand Model Aircraft, from 9 am until the afternoon, weather permitting.

Kintsugi Wellness Emoji Fun Run
October 19 – It’s time to get your running shoes out and run for a worthy cause. Come Saturday, October 19, Mediclinic Newcastle’s Kintsugi Wellness Centre will be hosting its annual Emoji Fun Run/Walk.
Registration for the 4.5km fun run/walk opens at 9 am, with the event set to kick off at 10 am. The initiative is in aid of creating awareness surrounding mental health, breaking away at the stigma which is often connected to mental disorders.
People are further encouraged to dress up as their favourite emojis, as there are prizes in each category, including the best-dressed team. The first 100 participants also receive a badge.
Elizma Theron to sing for Morester Children’s Home
October 19 – Popular South African singer, Elizma Theron will be taking centre stage at Newcastle Corner on Saturday.
Joining Elizma Theron will be Anton Fitchat, Yolandi Apple, Belinda Ellor, Melandie and Chris van Tonder.
With a day dedicated to music, the event is focused on Morester Children’s Home, with the entrance fee being any form of donations to the children’s home. Be sure not to miss out on this fun-filled event.
