Despite captivating news headlines throughout the years, whether through affairs or his political viewpoints, Steve Hofmeyr’s fans love for him has never wavered.
As one of the most iconic names in South Africa, Newcastillians are in for a treat come August 24. The legendary Steve Hofmeyr will be making his way to Newcastle and will be performing at Drakensberg Primary School.
On August 24, Drakensberg Primary will be hosting its annual outdoor festival, an event which has become a highlight on the Newcastle Social Calendar.
“This is the fourth year the school will be hosting the event,” says Stephani Truter of Drakensberg Primary.
The event will begin in the morning at 10 am with a fun-filled day planned for the entire family. The Grade 7s will be hosting their market day, with tons of activities planned for children and Boeresport planned for adults.
The day’s events will conclude at approximately 4 pm, as the school prepares for Steve Hofmeyr who will be performing in the evening.
Tickets are available for R100 per adult and R70 for children from the ages of 7 years to 18 years old.
