Golfers take on the fourth leg of Hack Attack Social Golf League

Under ideal weather conditions and a scenic view, a sense of sportsmanship prevailed at Vulintaba Golf Estate, as the fourth leg of the Hack Attack Social Golf League took place on May 5.

A social league which see its players enjoying not only a good round of golf but also a great day of camaraderie with friends. However, the league is not without a sense of competitiveness, as each player sets their sights on the win and dominating the day.

The top 10 players of the day are:
  • Bennie van Vuuren, who also won the purple cap for being in the overall lead for the day.

Bertie Liebenberg was awarded the pink cap for the longest day, an award which ensures spirits are kept high on the greens.

With the monthly fixture now under wraps, the Hack Attack Social League will be hosting its first annual Golf Day on May 18.

The event will take place at Newcastle Golf Club. The format will be a Scramble Drive Better-Ball, with tee off’s taking place from 8.30am until 11.30am. Entrance fee is R200 per player, which will include green fees and a halfway lunch.

There will be scores of prizes for players and a percentage of the day’s proceeds will be donated to Home Meah.
