Whether it is becoming a teacher, a ballerina or a police officer, there is one line of work that a child dreams of pursuing when they become an adult.

Encouraging children to pursue their dreams, Drakensberg Primary School hosted a career day for its Grade One learners on Tuesday, March 30.

On the day, the children had the opportunity to dress up for the career which they wish to pursue in later life. Then, they had the opportunity to do an oral on the career, explaining what the profession entailed and answered an array of questions.

Cara Breedt shares how she wants to become a doctor.

With the chance to break away from their usual routines, while speaking about their dream careers, the children had an absolute blast.

From dressing up as architects, lawyers and farmers, the day was all about fun and the importance of going after your dreams.
