Winter Festival 2019 names its sponsors

It is just a matter of days before the biggest community event in Newcastle will take place. An event which is dedicated entirely to the community.

The Winter Festival 2019 will begin on April 25, leaving Newcastillians three weeks to prepare themselves for three days of fun, vibrant entertainment, good food, a stellar line-up of South African musicians and local talent.

 As the community braces themselves for the Winter Festival 2019, there are a number of sponsors who have made the event possible.

The sponsors for the event are:

Capitec Bank who is the main sponsor. Capitec will bring the masterpass feature to the Winter Festival, allowing people to pay with their debit cards at the entrance and at selected stalls.

ATKV will be sponsoring the food and wine tent, where the community can tantalise their tastebuds.

Harcourts will sponsor the main hall.

Office National will be sponsoring the gallery.

Sponsoring the selfie competition will be Majuba Glass.

Allwear will be sponsoring the Winter Festival committee’s golf shirts, to ensure the community can identify the relevant team members.

Sponsoring the Winter Festival committee’s jackets will be Autobarn Parts People.

Fliber will be providing free Wi-Fi to the community at the Winter Festival over the three-day period.

Lanxess will sponsor the potjiekos competition.

One of the popular features at the Winter Festival is the strong man competition, which will be sponsored by Planet Fitness.

Tiger Wheel and Tyre will be sponsoring some of the prizes at the Kakiebos Funduro at the Winter Festival.

The Newcastillian is the media partner for the Winter Festival 2019.

AON is also a sponsor at the Winter Festival.

A number of guest houses will also be providing accommodation for the entertainment stars, the guest house sponsors are:

  • Vulintaba Country Estate
  • Avalon Guest Manor
  • Belvedere’s Guest House
  • Majuba Lodge

In the build-up to the Winter Festival 2019, Elmar Gouws Marketing Manager of the Winter Festival committee expresses the event would not have been possible without the support of the sponsors and community.

“We are encouraging the community to support the businesses and the event, as it will be ploughed back into the town.”
