What does the 2019 Winter Festival have lined up?

“Firstly, we have the Rainbow Inflatable Park which will be located next to the main arena,” says Elmar Gouws, of the Winter Festival committee.

Gouws explains children can buy a once-off ticket and they will be able to enjoy the inflatables the entire day.

Then there is Kwa Sanlam group, also known as Takalani. The group will entertain children on stage and children can visit their village, which will also be situated next to the main arena.

For motor enthusiasts, there is the Kakibos funduro and obstacle course which will take place from Thursday, April 25, to Saturday, April 27. The motor fun does not end there, with the Midas Show & Shine competition which will take place on April 27 from 10am until 2pm.

The ATKV Food and Wine Tent will be catering to the community’s hunger and thirst. “We will have a full craft bar,” says Gouws.

This means that the community can experience craft gin, craft beer, cocktails and wine. There will also be a big screen in this tent, which will have a live feed from the main stage.

If heights are your thing, Gouws says there will be chopper flips in the Newcastle skies for aviation fans. Tickets will be available at the festival grounds.

For fitness and sports enthusiasts, there will be CPW Wrestling, Planet Fitness’s Strongman competition and even Zumba classes to join.

Then there is the awesome musical entertainment, which will be:
