The sound of laughter filled the air at Drakensberg Primary School, as learners made their way to the playground.
There were no school books or classes on March 12. As the day was all about fun and games, with an exciting and joy-filled Fun Day.
Enjoying various inflatables, ranging from water slides to obstacle courses, the day proved to be a welcome change from the regular routines.
The school principal, Pieter Hanekom, explains at Drakensberg Primary, they believe hard work and fun go hand-in-hand, giving children a balance in their lives. “We try to do something fun every term for the children,” he says.
With a sense of happiness prevailing at the school, learners are ready to tackle the rest of the week, feeling refreshed.
