Trees are the life and the beauty of this planet, their role in our lives, irreplaceable.
An ancient Chinese proverb says, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second-best time is now.
Always looking to the future and at unique, caring ways to contribute to the community, Favourite Office National visited six schools on September 27. Going to Huttenpark Primary, Drakensberg Primary, Nokukhanya Primary, Siyamukela High and Islamic College Newcastle, whereby they donated three trees to each school.
Mohsin Ameen of Favourite Office National explains the main purpose of the project was to promote recycling and caring for the environment.
The donation of the trees is the first step. The store will give a Rand value back to credit on paper purchases. “For example, I supply you with a box of paper at a retail price. You then give my driver a paper box full of paper, approximately 12kg. I will then credit your paper purchase with R6,” Ameen says.
But why should a business consider doing this?
Ameen explains it is one of Favourite Office National’s ways of working alongside the Newcastle community.
“It is also a fantastic way forward to save the environment,” he concludes.
Well done to the store for playing a positive role in trying to save the environment. Be sure to visit Favourite Office National and find out how you can get involved in their recycling initiative. By supporting the project, you can do your part in saving the planet.
This is a phenomenal way, for schools and businesses, to not only care for the environment but to save money.
