Scores of bikers recently went to Utrecht for the annual Balele Rally.
Taking place at the Utrecht Caravan Park, the 100s of bikers gathered for two purposes, to have fun and make a positive contribution to the community. On the first day of the rally, the Balele Rally organisers handed a donation over to the Omgee Groep, which includes Bergsig High School, Huis Joanna Old Age Home and Balele Caravan Park for nature conservation.
Following the generous donation, the bikers enjoyed live entertainment from their “biker singer” Freddy Spires, followed by the rock band Free Beer, as well as the singer Riaan Kukard.
The two-day rally also enjoyed a mass ride through Utrecht town to Bergsig High School. Once there, three stunt riders, Deon Dreyer, AJ Olivier and Andrew Coetzee took the show. The three stunt riders awed spectators with their spectacular stunts and drag racing. Shinko Tyres sponsored a smoke bomb to the Balele Rally, which added to the adrenaline filled rally, as the crowds enjoyed the colourful smoke from the tyres.
Following the stunt riders, the bikers made their way back to the caravan and enjoyed biker games and a performance by Piet Pompies.
The Miss Balele Rally 2018 went to Michaela Marais from No Rules MCC. The Balele team would like to thank all the sponsors, entertainment and most of all, all the bikers that made Balele Rally 2018 a great success. “We hope to see you at the Balele Rally 2019. It will be held from 29 to 31 March 2019,” concluded JJ Janeke from the organising team.
