Calling all knights, ladies and courtroom jesters, Newcastle Masonic Lodge will be hosting an event of historic proportions.
On May 26, Newcastle Masonic Lodge will hold a Medieval Night. With its noble theme, guests can expect a night of humour and good will, where imagination reigns. A king and queen will rule over the event, with a medieval pope nearby. In case of misdemeanours, an executioner will be on hand.
For those who “break the law”, they need not fret about the executioner unleashing his fury. They will simply be put in the stocks.
While guests can travel back in time by joining in on the fun, the focus of the event is a charitable one. “All the proceeds will go towards Esperanza Special Needs School,” says David Couper of the Masonic Lodge.
The school’s outdoor play equipment is in poor condition. “We want to replace all the outdoor furniture, such as the jungle gyms and so on.”
Through assisting the school in replacing its outdoor equipment, the Freemasons are determined to ensure the school’s learners experience a safe and fun filled childhood.
Tickets are a R100 per adult, R50 for children from 10 years to 16 years. Children under the age of 10 years can come for free. The event will take place at the Masonic Lodge, 95B Kirkland Street, from 6pm. All are welcome!
Be sure to support the Newcastle Lodge and make a difference in the lives of the children at Esperanza Special Needs School.
