St Dominics Newcastle brings parents to class

Sitting alongside their children in a classroom on April 19, parents discovered what their children’s day entailed.

St Dominics Newcastle host an Interactive Open Day Evening for parents of Grade R to Grade 7 learners.

“This was to showcase what children do during class, how we teach and lets parents experience their children’s world,” explained Phase Head for the Senior Primary, Shirly McGhee.

From English to Science, Mathematics and Art, parents were enthralled with how their children spent school hours. As a first time initiative, the event was thoroughly enjoyed by both parents and children alike.
